New York City, 1994. Five years after the original Ghostbusters saved the city by bringing the Statue of Liberty to life, a fresh wave of supernatural activity begins spreading across Manhattan. When a group of young, inexperienced New Yorkers accidentally become involved in the crisis, they find themselves facing a problem far beyond anything they are prepared for. With little training but plenty of determination, the unlikely team must learn how to operate proton packs, confront increasingly dangerous ghosts and overcome their own fears. As the paranormal threat grows, these ordinary New Yorkers are forced to become the city's newest Ghostbusters and defend Manhattan from an eerie new menace.
